What it costs

The free plan is a real password manager, not a trial that expires. Paying gets you storage for files, sharing with more than one person, and someone else keeping the server running. The locking works exactly the same on every plan.

Why is there a free plan?

Because a password manager only helps if people actually use one. The free plan holds as many passwords as you like on as many devices as you own. What it does not include is file storage and sharing with more than one person.

Business is thin, on purpose

It covers per-seat billing and more file storage. It does not include single sign-on, staff directory sync, or an admin console. Those do not exist yet, so the price does not pretend they do.

Free and open source, forever

The code is AGPL-3.0 and stays that way. There is no licence check anywhere in the server, so nothing can be switched off behind a paywall later. Host it yourself and you get 4 GiB of file storage per account, and the self-host page covers the setup.

You cannot sign up yet. These are the planned prices and they may still change. The project status page lists what works so far.
